Our Founders Study
We are looking for CEO Founders to contribute to our Founders Study

The Study

We are conducting a longitudinal study as a follow up to our successful book, “The Founder Factor”. We started this longitudinal study of founder run companies in an effort to quantify the keys related to success in high impact, high growth companies. We are looking for additional founders to participate in the study.

We have a cohort of 40 companies participating in the longitudinal aspect of the study but are also looking for a few founders to complete ONE SURVEY, only. Our goal is to ensure the richest pool of data to draw from. The survey is online and would take 10 - 20 minutes to complete. Please let us know by email if you are willing to participate or at least discuss it.

The Founder Study is a look at the changing leadership needs and transitions in the role of the founder as companies grow. The findings will provide significant data on the factors that impact company success, founder transitions and leadership succession. My collaborators on the study are Dr. John Perry. of Wichita State University who received his doctorate form Penn State in strategic management and CEO transitions and Dr. Eva Yao who completed her doctorate at the University of Washington in organizational behavior and entrepreneurship.

There is very little data that we will supply to you in the short term. You will get a copy of your results against the benchmark and a copy of the final report, of course but very little date of real use to you in the short term. Hence, this will be an extremely generous contribution of your time for very little personal return. But we believe the findings from this study will be an invaluable contribution to future generation of entrepreneurs.

For the next steps, let me know by nancy@woodscreek.com if you are willing to participate and / or discuss it further. If yes, you will receive an email invitation to an online survey. It will probably take 10 - 20 minutes to complete.
